Proceed to Poland and explore local monuments that will lead you back not only to medieval times, but also to the era of World War II. Program (day 1 - 5)

1. Day - Arrival to Prague

  • Arrival at Vaclav Havel Airport, Prague. Meet & greet by our guide. Private transfer to the hotel, check-in. Rest of the day at leisure. (D)

2. Day - The Best of Prague

  • Visit the largest medieval castle complex in Europe and enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the historical Prague. Observe the Changing of the Guard at the entrance to the Royal Palace.
  • Visit the Grand St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace with famous Vladislav Hall and the beautiful St. George Basilica, followed by a stroll along charming Golden Lane with its picturesque houses and small shops.
  • Explore Neruda Street and the Lesser Town district, visit the Church of Our Lady Victorious where you can see the Infant Jesus of Prague, and cross the famous Charles Bridge. 
  • Enjoy a brief walking tour of the Old Town, starting with a visit to Old Town Square, observe the procession of the Twelve Apostles on the Astronomical Clock, see the stunning St. Nicholas Church as well as the gothic Church of Our Lady before Tyn. Admire the Estates Theater where Mozart's Don Giovanni was first performed. An optional Black Theatre will be offered this evening.(B)

3. Day - Dresden, Berlin

  • After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and travel to Berlin. On the way, stop in Dresden for a walking tour of this charming city. Thorough tour of the must-sees in Dresden. Tour focused on most famous monuments in Dresden, as well as on general information about the history of the city.
  • Admire famous Semper Opera House, Zwinger Palace, Royal Palace and many more. Grab the opportunity and enjoy one wonderful day getting to know different culture, traditions and also gastronomy.
  • Transfer to Berlin, check-in at your hotel. (B,D)

4. Day - Berlin

  • Upon breakfast enjoy the city tour of Berlin. This tour is designed to orient you in the city, taking in all the main sites while covering much more along the way. Showcasing the best of Berlin, visit the old royal quarter with the beautiful buildings on Museum Island, Unter den Linden, Bebelplatz, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie and the Wall, the old Nazi government district through to the Jewish memorial, Brandenburg Gate and the new Chancellery and the Reichstag.
  • Along the way we'll talk about everything from the old Prussian days to the Kaisers, the coming of National Socialism and it's terrible consequences, the division of the city during the Cold War, through to reunification and the rebirth of modern Germany. An optional classic music concert will be offered this evening. (B)

5. Day - Poznan, Warsaw 

  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
  • On the way to Warsaw, stop in Poznan. Visit to its beautiful historical city centre. The tour starts on the island of Ostrow Tumski, the most important royal residence during the days when Poland was still a pagan country. This is where you will find Poland’s very first cathedral: St Peter and Paul's. From there we will take you to the charming Old Town of Poznan, where you will see the hallmark of the city, the “Poznanskie Koziolki”: two charming billy-goats that butt heads every day at noon. While in the Old Town you will have time to admire the Old Town Square with its Renaissance Town Hall.
  • Transfer to Warsaw, check in at the hotel. Rest of day at leisure. (B,D)

 

Program (day 6 - 11)

6. Day - Warsaw

During the morning enjoy a half-day tour that will show you famous landmarks, cultural centres and busy market squares. During the sightseeing tour of Warsaw you will gain a general impression of Poland's capital. You will see historical sites such as the Ghetto Memorial, the Monument of Warsaw Uprising, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Grand Theatre, Chopin's monument, the Belvedere Palace and the Old Town. Rest of the day at leisure, possibility of individual sightseeing. (B)

  • 7. Day - Czestochowa, Auschwitz, Krakow

After breakfast, transfer to the beautiful city of Krakow. On the way, stop at Czestochowa, a town known for the famous Pauline monastery of Jasna Gora, which is the home of the Black Madonna painting, a shrine to the Virgin Mary. Important place of pilgrimage. General Tour of the Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau - private tourof the permanent exhibitions and buildings at the Auschwitz I-Main Camp and the most important original camp buildings in Auschwitz II-Birkenau: prisoner barracks, the unloading platform (ramp), and the ruins of gas chamber and crematoria II or III. Transfer to Krakow, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. (B, D)  

  • 8. Day - Krakow

Upon breakfast begin your tour by visiting the Jewish District of Kazimierz. Explore the area which used to be inhabited by one of the most diverse Jewish communities in Europe. Take a short drive to the Wawel Hill, the embodiment of Poland's former monarchical glory. At its summit is the Royal Castle (except Mondays) and a 14th-century cathedral which hosted almost all coronations and funerals of the Polish monarchy. Go down Wawel Hill and stroll along Kanonicza and Grodzka Streets to see Collegium Maius (Mondays only), the oldest building of the Academia Cracoviensis. After visiting its charming Gothic courtyard we go on to the Main Market Square. This bustling heart of the city is the perfect place for picking up souvenirs. Complete your tour by visiting St. Mary's Church. Rest of the day at leisure. (B)

  • 9. Day - Turcianske Teplice, Budapest

Breakfast and check-out from your hotel and transfer to Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Passing through the wonderful landscape of Slovakian Tatra Mountains, possibility to admire the stunning views. A 2-hour stop halfway to Budapest in Turcianske Teplice for a relaxing swim in local thermal Aqua Park. You can either relax by swimming in local 25m heated pool or by having some fun at local water slides. Transfer to Budapest, check-in to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. (B, D)

  • 10. Day - Budapest

Upon breakfast enjoy a half-day city tour of Budapest, visiting the most interesting and famous sights of the ancient capital. The tour starts with the impressive House of Parliament, proceeds by the Margaret Island via Margaret Bridge up to the Castle District, where visiting the Matthias Church, Fishermen’s Bastion, Royal Palace, and having a breath-taking view into the city from the Citadel. Traverse the river Danube to the more busy Pest side to the Heroes’ Square, passing by the Opera House and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Free afternoon. An optional Folklore dinner will be offered this evening. (B)

  • 11. Day - Departure from Budapest

Breakfast at your hotel. Free time. Check-out and transfer to the Budapest airport according to your flight itinerary. End of services. (B)
